Human Rights day Pokhara

C4C participated together with many organizations and NGO´s / INGO´s to Human Rights day march at Pokhara 10th December..

March was peaceful and executed in good spirit although according to the Asian Human Righat Comission (AHRC) annual report published on 10th December says that the situation in Nepal is not the best one on human right issues.

"Failure to improve the human rights record not only underlines government negligence toward the protection of the human rights of the people it serves but more importantly also points at larger institutional failures."

On 12th December president Ram Baran Yadav said on Katmandu post that most probably the election planned to next April/ May will not happen. Shame for this beautiful country with amazing people that politics is such a big reason that the development is so slow.

Every individual can help in the process of improving Human Rights not only in Nepal but everywhere in the world. We did our own small part by participating to this event and keep on participating in many different ways. Together we can make a difference!!
