The second workshop will be held for seven days, for a larger group of
18 people, from the wider Dalit community. It will be provided to give the
trainees a platform to practice their skills and pass on their knowledge that
they have learnt within the Expressive Arts. As Expressive Art Facilitators we
shall be present to support this practice.
The days will be split into two halves, with the morning being reserved
for dance and movement exercises. During these sessions we shall creatively
explore the self, the other and movement as a metaphor for expressing our life
stories. The subject matter that is harvested during these sessions shall go
towards the second half of the day that shall be dedicated to mask making as
another way of externalizing certain themes and feelings within an individual´s
life experience.
As a final outcome, the products created from these
workshops will be showcased as part of the International Human Rights day on the 10th
of December 2012.
